October, 2011

With the cold rainy weather here our riding season, unfortunately, comes to an end. With the exception of some fall rides and some die hard bikers, many start to plan winter storage and what new gadgets they can add to the wheels during the off season.   Before 2011 hit we hoped for a better year and it definitely was.  WIth the addition of new members, revamping of our colors and the support from others, 2011 was a great year for the club.

We started the year with our annual bike blessing which had a great turn out.  That was followed by our annual Benefit Run and the Semper Fi run in addition to supporting other clubs, runs and benefits. We managed to make it in to the Hard Tales magazine convention and made new friends in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

SOLNY Support shirts are now available for sale and we anticipate other support merchandise available for next  year.

2012 promises to be an even better year with some new surprises added to our bike blessing and the addition of new members.  We strive for our brotherhod to maintain strong and our relationships with other clubs to get even stronger.

Again on behalf of the SOLNY we would like to extend our appreciation to all our supporters and hope to see you all next year.

July 26, 2011

It has been a busy summer so far, many runs offered yet so limited time.  We would like to thank those who attended both our Bike Blessing and our 2nd Annual Benefit Run.  We always appreciate the support.

With August upon us it is time for the 2nd Annual Spemper Fi run.  Last years run was a great success and alot of fun and we ho[pe this year to make it even better.  Please come join us, show your support and have a good time.  For more information feel free to contact us.

We are presently looking for prospective members who are Veterans or presently serving, if you or anyone you know may be interested please feel free to contact us.

On a more serious note.  Please be catious when out riding, too many accidents that could  of been avoided.  Remember that alcohol and riding dont mix  also be cautions with the NON-DOT helmets as patrol are out looking for them.  "Take it from me I know.."  With tha said be safe, have fun and enjoy the sun.

June 12, 2011

With the warm weather upon us many of us are busy catching up with some riding, yard work and relaxing.  The last month has definetly been busy to say the least.  Congratulations to the club for the recent accomplishments.  Great turn out for our bike blessing, membership is strong and will just get better.

Thank you to all those who participated and helped out with the blessing, with a big thank you going out to Lisa Borello for her continued support and the Brothers of the Road for always having our back.  The season has just started so we have much more work to do. We have our upcoming 2nd Annual Benefit Run on July 23rd and the Semper Fi Run on August 13th.  Please feel feel to join us for any of our upcoming events.

We are also looking for Veterans who would be interested in joining our group.  Feel free to contact myself or any of the officers with any questions

May 2, 2011

It seems as if the warm weather just doesn't want to come and stay.  Fortunately some still brave the cold& wind and ride.  The Western New York Food Bank Run  had a good turn out, and with that the Riding Events season kicks off.  Many events are going on and it's hard to choose which one to attend or what cause to support.  If you ask me, all are good causes and as long as you ride, are in good company then because nothing else matters.

Please don't forget we have 2 Big Events coming up:  The Bike Run for the Martin Family on May 7th which will be Co-Hosted with The Brothers of the Road and our Bike Blessing which will take place May 21st.  Both Events will take Place at the Lakeshore Marine Corps League.  Registration starts at 10am for both.  Hope to see you all there.  Until then ride safe stay warm.

It is  with great pleasure to say thank you to all the supporters, Brothers of the Road, Southern Tier Legion Riders, Wraith MC Amvets Riders Post 409 & Post 6472 and of course Lakeshore Marine Corp Cub for allowing us the space to have our meetings at the club and Cyberspokes.com for helping us spread the word.

Keep your eyes on our calendar of events here or you can find us on face book under Sons Of Liberty NY.  Again a huge thanks to all the officers, road captain, blockers, members and supporters.

"What a great ride! Thanks to all those who made it.

The day was perfect for a ride, the band rocked it and we did our thing. 70+ bikes and no incidents.

Again thank you to all the members for all your hard work, to The Brothers of the Road for the continued support, The Lakeshore Marine Corps Club and Stitchez. You all rocked!

Great time, great friends! Hope to see you all at our next event in July!"
